Here’s the latest Fishing Report from the MI DNR.
This past week I caught fish vert jigging in the Detroit River. We fished near Belle Isle and used Chartreuse or White Jigs with a black, or brown rubber worm. The water temp was around 50. Fish were sitting on the bottom in about 25 fow.
I got bass and pike using a Silver Smoke YUM Fluke and Silver Countdown Rapala’s in Horsehead Lk near Big Rapids. The pike held in deep holes adjacent to shallow flats. Most of the bass were cruising in about 5 fow and holding up on any structure they could find. Pretty soon they’ll be on their beds.
Good luck this week.
